ARTOST BIO
As a kid growing up in California with limited resources, I began to forge my creativity by way of drawing and building models, while simultaneously working on bicycles and cars, playing music, building skate ramps, and so on. Once I began to understand that I could create objects that had a message, I became more interested in concept driven projects in a variety of materials and processes. I began to interpret and communicate with the world through an art practice that I follow to this day. My intention is to create work that is accessible, interactive, and facilitates the viewer’s own narrative. I have been creating work in Seattle since 2001.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I find myself expressing through the repetion of form. Creating multiples that become building blocks of a visual language, laying the foundation for an idea to take hold. Often ideas begin in a small and intimate scale allowing for an efficient flow of iterations to flourish. Sometimes these small sculptures become larger and exist within exterior and public contexts.
