Earlier this year, Ed Guud joined SZ Build, bringing a diverse set of skills as a Construction Superintendent to our multi-disciplinary team. He is currently completing an extensive remodel / addition and at the forefront of coordinating sub-contractors on a new construction home, both on Mercer Island. Ed’s attention to detail, hands-on expertise and collaborative spirit contribute to positive client experiences throughout SZ’s Design | Build process.

What’s something you find challenging about your work?
Different projects have different challenges, it’s a field of low to high skill level. It’s a field where mistakes can be made and they can be very pricy. Underbidding than getting burned by higher cost,
Where did you work before this position?
Worked in the hospital field 8 years ago as a surgical tech. Past 8 years general construction and past 5 years my own business building and remodeling.
Who inspires you?
People who are hardworking.
What’s the best place you’ve traveled to?
Kentucky and Jamaica

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I don’t know, how do I find that out?
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Building and remodeling high end custom homes.
What’s your idea of a perfect day?
7am - 4pm with a lot done, proficiently and in high quality.
